Objectives: The purpose of this study is identifing factors affecting mortality through Collaborative Stage (CS) by big data analysis of breast cancer patients.
Methods: A total of 14,900 breast cancer patients were used by linking the Collaborative Stage (CS) data of the Central Cancer Registry of National Cancer Center (2010-2017) and the death data of the National Statistical Office. A chi-square independence test was performed to analyze the factors affecting mortality due to breast cancer, and multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to identify risk factors for death.
Result: Factors influencing breast cancer mortality in women include age, primary site, CS Extension, Regional Nodes Positive, CS Tumor Size, CS Mets Dx, AJCC-7 stage, SEER stage, triple negative status, site-specific factors SSF01, SSF02, SSF03, SSF04, SSF05, SSF16, SSF019, and SSF20 were statistically significant (p<.001). As a result of analysis of factors affecting the risk of breast cancer death, age, primary site, CS Extension, Regional Nodes Positive, CS Tumor Size, AJCC-7 Stage, site-specific factors SSF07, SSF09, SSF15, triple negative status, survival period was analyzed to have an effect.
Conclusion: Big data analysis on risk factors for women with breast cancer death using Collaborative staging (CS) should be used as basic data for cancer management policies.
